TNA Brings Back Abyss in Surprise Return

TNA delivered an unexpected twist on the April 9 episode of iMPACT, as a familiar face (Abyss) emerged during the ongoing Undead Realm storyline — though not in the way fans might have anticipated.

The eerie segment unfolded alongside multiple intertwined narratives, slowly building toward a reveal that felt less like a return and more like something… summoned.

Throughout the episode, the Undead Realm story continued to expand, featuring Rosemary, Mara Sadè, Tessa Blanchard, and Father James Mitchell.

Rosemary explained she was collecting the seven deadly sins and introduced Sadè to Allie, also known as The Bunny, whom she trusted to guide her.

Elsewhere, the tension escalated when Mila Moore wandered alone before being abruptly abducted by Havok — a continuation of recent attacks that have followed her like a shadow that refuses to be shaken.

However, the tone shifted when Rosemary approached Mitchell for a favor. Mitchell made it clear that nothing in the Undead Realm comes without a price. However, Rosemary appeared prepared — leading him into a separate room.

Inside sat Abyss.

The TNA Hall of Famer, appearing in a rare on-screen moment, addressed his former manager directly. He admitted, “I am sorry… I have sinned,” signaling a return that leaned heavily into the supernatural tone of the storyline. It wasn’t just a comeback — it felt like a resurrection of unfinished business.

Abyss, real name Chris Parks, has not been a regular presence on TNA programming for years and has been working as a producer for WWE since 2019. That context made the appearance even more unexpected, as if the door to the past had briefly creaked open.

With the Undead Realm continuing to grow, this development raises questions about what role Abyss may play moving forward.

For now, TNA has added another layer to its ongoing story — and much like a monster lurking in the dark, it’s clear this return may only be the beginning.
