Lola Vice has fully moved on from her MMA background and is now focused on her career as a WWE Superstar. After a major title win at NXT Stand & Deliver 2026, she made it clear that this is her new identity.
At the event, Vice won her first NXT Women’s Championship by beating Jacy Jayne and Kendal Grey in a Triple Threat match. She finished the match with a spinning backfist on Jayne to get the win. This ended Jayne’s 137-day title run and also made Vice the first Cuban-American woman to win the championship.
This win adds to a great year for Vice. She is now a double champion, as she also holds the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship. Her quick rise shows how well she has adjusted from MMA to wrestling.
Lola Vice declares her MMA background no longer defines her identity
On the April 7, 2026, episode of WWE NXT, Vice cut a promo where she discussed her journey. She said she has proven herself and is no longer just known for MMA.
“I made sure there are no questions left when they came to me. And the Lola talking to you right now is ready. I am undeniable. And this isn’t confidence. This is proof that earning something will always mean something more than having it handed to you. I am no longer the girl that came from MMA. I am a WWE superstar,” Vice said.
Before joining WWE, Vice, whose real name is Valerie Loureda, had a short but solid MMA career. She fought in Bellator from 2019 to 2021 and held a 4-1 record. She is also a 5th-degree black belt in Taekwondo and trained with American Top Team, which is famous for training some of the biggest MMA fighters like Dustin Poirier, Robbie Lawler, Arman Tsarukyan, Joanna Jędrzejczyk, Kayla Harrison, and many more.
Since signing with WWE in 2022, Lola Vice has improved significantly. She won the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament in 2023 and won the Most Improved Award in 2024. Her recent title win feels like the result of all that hard work.
