The road to AEW Revolution became more violent on the March 11 episode of AEW Dynamite. A press conference between MJF and Adam Page ended in a fight after tensions between the two stars exploded.
The press conference was hosted by Bryan Danielson and included questions from media members. At first, reporters asked about the personal reasons behind the rivalry. One question focused on whether Page was chasing the title or seeking revenge after MJF helped cost JetSet Rodeo the Trios Championships during a previous episode of Dynamite.
Adam Page made it clear that the world title has always been his main goal. He said he has been chasing the championship for years and promised that he plans to take everything that matters to MJF at Revolution.
For most of the segment, things stayed tense but under control. But the final question changed everything.
AEW Revolution Presser Turns Physical After MJF Throws Beer at Hangman Page
A reporter asked Page what would happen if he failed to win the AEW World Championship at Revolution. It clearly bothered him.
MJF took advantage of the moment and started mocking Page. The champion then tried to offer Page a drink as if he were proposing a toast.
Page got offended and slapped the drink out of MJF’s hand. That moment started the fight.
MJF grabbed another drink and threw it straight into Page’s face. The two started brawling. Security rushed in, but the fight continued and eventually moved toward the ring.
Once they reached the ring, Page started gaining control of the fight. MJF tried to use his Dynamite Diamond Ring. However, Page stopped him and then hit him with the Deadeye.
Page then pulled out a barbed wire board from under the ring. He tried to slam MJF onto it. But the champion managed to escape just in time and ran into the audience.
The rivalry between MJF and Hangman Page has been building for months. Their feud will finally end in a brutal Texas Death Match at Revolution. Page has also added huge stakes to the match. He has promised that if he loses, he will never challenge for the AEW World Championship again.
