A chaotic Triple Threat match on the March 10 episode of WWE NXT ended in a result that left officials — and fans — doing a double take.
What started as a hard-hitting contest between Eli Knight, Jasper Troy, and Sean Legacy eventually produced one of the more unusual finishes seen in NXT competition.
Early on, Knight and Legacy briefly joined forces to try to neutralize the powerhouse Troy. The strategy worked — at least momentarily. The two combined for a flurry of superkicks that sent the big man to the floor, though Troy never fully went down, absorbing punishment like a human no-sell button.
Still, Troy remained the wrecking ball in the match, tossing both opponents around and even planting them with a double Samoan drop at one point. Just when it seemed the powerhouse might flatten the competition completely, outside chaos shifted the landscape.
Keanu Carver stormed to the ringside and chokeslammed Troy through the announce desk before confronting Booker T, creating a distraction that changed the match’s rhythm heading into the closing stretch.
Eli Knight and Sean Legacy Share Rare Double Pinfall Victory on WWE NXT
Once the match resumed after the break, Knight and Legacy turned their attention back to each other. The two traded momentum with moonsaults, a Spanish Fly, and a series of rapid counters that kept the outcome hanging in the balance.
As Troy eventually reentered the match, the closing sequence arrived rapidly. Legacy connected with a running shiranui followed by a springboard 450 splash, leaving Troy vulnerable in the ring. Knight immediately followed with a top-rope moonsault.
Both competitors covered Troy at the same time — and both scored the pinfall.
Officials ruled the finish a double pin, meaning Knight and Legacy were declared joint winners. In wrestling terms, they both got the three-count, leaving Troy to literally carry the weight of the result.
The rare finish has already sparked debate about future championship opportunities. With both men technically victorious, NXT management may soon have to decide which competitor — if either — gets the next title shot.
