WWE fans could get a nice discount on WWE 2K25 — if they live in the right place.
According to PSPrices, Sony is currently running A/B testing on the PlayStation Store for a dynamic pricing experiment. Dynamic pricing has been a controversial business practice in recent years, as sports fans and concertgoers have criticized the practice for artificially boosting ticket prices on sites like Ticketmaster.
Despite the backlash towards that practice, Sony appears to be introducing dynamic pricing for personalized discounts on various games in the PlayStation library.
The test has been running since November 2025. Sony has been testing elastic prices on its own games like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and God of War: Ragnarok. The test also includes titles from major publishers like 2K Games and Rockstar Games.
WWE 2K25 was included on the list of experimental price differences recorded. The report notes that WWE 2K25 was originally listed as selling for €74.99. However, the video game was relisted for €61.82, which is a 17.6% discount from the original list price.
How was the dynamic pricing experiment discovered?
PSprices regularly tracks Sony PlayStation Store prices in more than 50 regions. The outlet said its system “detected unusual offer structures” that contained experiment identifying tags in PlayStation’s API responses.
According to PSprices, Sony is showing various prices for nearly 200 games in more than 70 different regions around the world. This list includes the United States, but Japan is not participating. Despite showing WWE 2K25 selling at discounted prices in Euros, the report did not specify which region(s) were seeing the discount. The euro is the official currency of 21 member states of the European Union.
It remains to be seen how the discount will affect sales of WWE 2K25 or how long the experiment will last. WWE 2K25 sales probably aren’t that high now anyway. The latest game in the series, WWE 2K26, is already available for early access. WWE 2K26’s official global release will be on Friday March 13.
