WWE’s Austin Theory Reacts To Criticism That He’s Missing Something

Austin Theory has been a hot topic for critics for quite some time now, and The Vision member has finally decided to respond directly to people who say he is “missing something.”

After being off WWE TV for much of late 2025, Theory returned on the December 15 episode of RAW. It was revealed that he had been the masked man helping The Vision since Survivor Series. The twist in the tale instantly inserted him into a major storyline.

Since then, he has become one of the group’s main members. But even after that, some fans still criticize him.

Austin Theory Fires Back at Critics During Turbulent Period for The Vision

Theory recently posted a short video on social media. He said that his critics are right, he is “missing” things. But not in the way they think. He said he is missing doubt, quitting, taking days off, and caring too much about other people’s opinions. He added that no one can be him, and what he does have is “clear vision.”

“They say I’m missing something. They’re right, I’m missing a lot. I’m missing doubt, I’m missing quitting, I’m missing taking days off, I’m missing valuing other people’s opinions. No one’s me and no one can be me. And one thing I have for sure is clear vision,” he said.

Many fans feel that Theory lacks the “it factor.” No one really questions his athletic ability, look, or in-ring capabilities. The bigger complaint is that his character hasn’t fully connected with audiences yet.

During his earlier push under Vince McMahon, many fans felt he was pushed too fast. That reaction grew stronger after his Money in the Bank cash-in didn’t go as planned, which hurt his momentum.

But it was a strong message from Austin Theory, especially at a time when The Vision is dealing with problems.

Right now, Theory and Logan Paul are the only healthy, active members of the group. Bron Breakker is out with a hernia, and Bronson Reed tore his biceps on the February 23 episode of RAW. With two major members injured, there is more pressure on Theory to step up.

Moreover, the team has been targeted by a mysterious masked man for weeks now.
