Chris Jericho Addresses March Plans Amid AEW Contract Freeze Report

Chris Jericho may have added another layer to the ongoing speculation about his wrestling future. He casually revealed upcoming plans for March during a recent podcast appearance.

While speaking on Talk Is Jericho, the former world champion mentioned he has begun preparations to film a movie in March.

The comment came during a broader discussion about the unpredictability of the film industry. However, the timing quickly caught attention, given the recent chatter surrounding his contract status.

Jericho reflected on how quickly Hollywood projects can collapse, referencing high-profile examples. “I’m doing a movie in March and it’s like, what if it gets ‘Superman Live’-d?” he said. “You could be on set for six weeks like Eric Stoltz was and get fired. You just don’t know, right? It’s so hard to get anything made and approved.”

The remark arrives amid reports from Fightful Select suggesting Jericho’s AEW contract may have been frozen after he stepped away from television in April 2025.

Although his original deal was believed to run through the end of 2025, he remains listed on AEW’s official roster page. No internal memo regarding a departure has surfaced, which is typically standard practice when talent exits the company.

Chris Jericho Shares Update on March Schedule

Jericho’s mention of filming in March adds intrigue, particularly with Elimination Chamber on February 28 and WrestleMania season around the corner.

However, there has been no confirmation of any creative involvement with WWE. Moreover, previous reports indicated Jericho’s involvement at the Royal Rumble or Netflix anniversary plans did not emerge as a prevalent topic due to ongoing contractual ties.

Outside the ring, Jericho is currently touring the United Kingdom with Fozzy throughout February 2026. For now, he remains officially under the AEW banner. Nevertheless, between a frozen deal and a film project, his next move hasn’t yet materialized in stone.

Whether this is a Hollywood script or a wrestling swerve, Jericho continues to keep fans guessing.
