WWE Star Appears to Take A Shot at AEW’s Will Ospreay

WWE star Tama Tonga has seemingly taken a shot at AEW star Will Ospreay over the use of the Hidden Blade finisher.

Ospreay, known for holding multiple major titles and delivering highlight-reel performances, has made the Hidden Blade one of his signature moves. However, he has been off AEW television since being attacked by the Death Riders at last year’s Forbidden Door pay-per-view.

He was written off TV so he could undergo neck surgery. A few weeks ago, reports provided an update on Ospreay’s status. It suggests that while he is not currently scheduled to appear on-screen, he is expected to be evaluated by AEW’s medical team for a possible return. Some believe he could be sidelined for a significant period.

During Ospreay’s absence, fans noticed that Tama Tonga had started using the Hidden Blade on WWE television. In a recent Instagram Live session, Tonga addressed the situation directly and appeared to mock Ospreay.

He said, “Yeah! Took that sh*t, it’s mine. What is he gonna do with it, he’s off?” He later reacted to the clip on X, formerly known as Twitter, writing, “Took that ?, like taking ? from ?.” Even MJF joined the conversation. The AEW World Champion, who recently joked that Tonga’s Hidden Blade looks better than Ospreay’s, replied to Tonga’s post with, writing, “?️ HELL YEAH OSPREAY SUCKS.”
