We have a huge update on Will Ospreay‘s AEW status heading into tonight’s episode of Dynamite.
All Elite Wrestling’s Will Ospreay hasn’t been seen on AEW programming since being taken out by the Death Riders at the end of last year’s Forbidden Door pay-per-view. Ospreay was written off in order to have neck surgery. Months removed from that medical procedure, we have an extremely positive update on his status.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), Will Ospreay is scheduled to be backstage at tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
While he’s not currently scheduled to appear on screen, Ospreay will be at the event to begin being checked out by AEW’s medical team for a potential return to the ring. While it’s very early in the process, this is a huge step in the right direction, as many expected him out for a full year.
There is no specific timetable for Ospreay’s AEW return, but the company is hopeful to have him back by the Spring.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
