WWE NXT Posts Best Demo in Months While Airing Against Winter Olympics

WWE NXT had plenty working against it on February 10 — including the Winter Olympics — yet Tuesday night quietly delivered one of the brand’s strongest demographic performances in months.

As per reports (via F4W), the episode averaged 637,000 viewers on The CW, up 1.3 percent from last week’s 629,000. While that increase may seem modest at first glance, the real headline lies in the key 18–49 demo.

WWE NXT Scores Highest 18–49 Demo Since September Amid Olympic Competition

NXT posted a 0.12 rating in the 18–49 category, a 50% increase from the prior week’s 0.08. That ties the show’s best demo number since September 17 and marks its largest 18–49 audience since October 14.

The gains were notable across multiple segments. Male viewers in the demo rose from 67,000 to 114,000, while female viewers increased from 33,000 to 47,000. Adults 18–34 climbed from a 0.05 to 0.09 rating, and adults 25–54 improved from 0.10 to 0.16.

All of this came against stiff competition. NBC’s Winter Olympics coverage averaged more than 10 million viewers in prime time with a 1.43 demo rating, while USA Network’s Olympic broadcast led cable with over 2 million viewers and a 0.48 rating.

NXT still finished 10th out of 11 English-language network programs for the night, but the demo spike suggests the brand punched above its weight.

Content may have helped drive interest. The February 10 episode featured Joe Hendry’s first successful NXT Championship defense, a new Women’s Title No. 1 contender in Sol Ruca, and a shocking post-match reveal involving Ricky Saints.

Compared to the 10-week average of 614,800 viewers and a 0.08 demo rating, this week’s show was up 3.6 percent in viewers and 50 percent in 18–49. The numbers don’t just tell a story — they might be signaling momentum as NXT continues to build its next era.
