The Hardy Boyz, Matt and Jeff Hardy, recently shared their thoughts on the idea of AJ Styles returning to TNA Wrestling.
Speaking an interview with 1Wrestling, the current TNA World Tag Team Champions spoke about AJ Styles and the strong connection he still has with TNA. Matt Hardy said fans are closely watching what Styles does next. He said, “People are definitely anticipating where AJ is gonna land, because something does seem very intriguing about that.”
“His exact terminology was, ‘If you do beat me GUNTHER, it will be the end of my WWE career.’ That was very specific.” He also pointed out that Styles has always had real love for TNA. “He has a genuine, very real authentic love for TNA, so I would love to have him back at TNA and he would really help us thrive as a company.”
Jeff Hardy also shared his excitement about the possibility of Styles returning. He even mentioned a dream match he would like to see. “I feel like (Styles vs Mike Santana) is a dream match that kinda has to happen now. I heard Mike Santana talk about it in an interview and it just felt like, ‘Whoa, that would be amazing.’ Me as a wrestling fan would love to see that match.”
He praised Styles’ career and legacy. “And AJ, when the world ends, if armageddon happens and all professional wrestling is over, AJ might be the ultimate GOAT, man. He is just an incredible human being and has done an amazing job in his career. For him to come back to TNA would be incredible, and it would mean so much to all of us.” [H/T: Wrestletalk]
Speculation has grown ever since Styles lost to GUNTHER at WWE Royal Rumble. Many fans believe he could explore other options once his WWE contract officially ends. Styles has not fully ruled out wrestling again. For now, fans will have to wait and see what’s next for Styles’.
