Paul Heyman initially believed Brock Lesnar’s now-viral slip during a WWE RAW entrance was intentional, viewing it as part of Lesnar’s unmatched presence rather than a mistake.
The moment occurred during a November episode of RAW. It quickly gained attention after Lesnar broke character on his way to the ring.
The incident happened late in the show after Roman Reigns cleared the ring during a chaotic brawl involving The Vision, Drew McIntyre, and Logan Paul.
As the crowd watched on, Lesnar’s music hit, and he made his entrance alongside Paul Heyman. During his usual stride on the stage, Lesnar slipped near the entranceway and fell backward onto the ramp.
Paul Heyman Explains Brock Lesnar’s Viral RAW Entrance Slip
Speaking with SHAK Wrestling, Heyman explained why he thought the fall came as a result of careful planning. “I actually thought he did it on purpose,” Heyman said, noting how smoothly Lesnar rolled through the slip, stood up laughing, and continued toward the ring. According to Heyman, that recovery — combined with Lesnar’s calm reaction — made the moment feel deliberate.
Heyman praised Lesnar for turning an unexpected error into a positive, calling it a “GOAT move.” He explained that while everyone makes mistakes, Lesnar’s ability to recover instantly and stay entertaining separated him from everyone else.
Lesnar even leaned into the moment by laughing openly and placing his cowboy hat on Bron Breakker before joining the brawl.
The clip went viral almost immediately. The unfortunate botch and Brock Lesnar breaking character on television meant that the clip would emerge as a treasure trove for years to come.
However, this wasn’t the first time Lesnar had an unscripted on-screen moment in recent months. Earlier in September, he suffered a wardrobe malfunction as he tore his pants during an attack on R-Truth. Lesnar openly acknowledged the mishap on camera, making for a special moment.
While the slip itself was unplanned, Heyman’s comments framed the moment as an example of Lesnar’s instincts as a performer. The incident added a rare lighthearted chapter to the former WWE Champion’s usually intense WWE presentation, while also showing how quickly he can turn a misstep into a memorable moment.
