Tommaso Ciampa Comments On AEW Debut

Tommaso Ciampa is coming for All Elite Wrestling gold.

Following the expiration of his WWE contract, Tommaso Ciampa is now All Elite. His in-ring AEW debut is set to take place on Saturday’s edition of Collision in Arlington, Texas. The former NXT Champion made his initial appearance on Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

“Tonight, Tommaso Ciampa became All Elite,” Ciampa said in a backstage video afterward. “On Collision, I become the new TNT champion. The Psycho Killer is alive.”

On Dynamite, reigning TNT Champion Mark Briscoe successfully defended his title against The Don Callis Family’s El Clon. After, Briscoe laid out an open challenge for AEW Collision to anyone in the AEW locker room that wasn’t affiliated with the Don Callis Family. The lights then promptly flickered off and on, revealing Ciampa, known as “The Psycho Killer,” as his next challenger.

The January 31 edition of Dynamite will mark the first faceoff between Ciampa and Briscoe since November 13, when the former defeated the latter on ROH Pursuit.

Earlier this week, WWE moved Ciampa to the alumni section of its roster page, signaling that he was once again a free agent within wrestling. Ciampa then wasted little time in releasing new merchandise for his “Psycho Killer” character.

In WWE, Ciampa enjoyed two reigns as NXT Champion. Alongside Johnny Gargano, he also held the WWE Tag Team Championships on two occasions as well as the NXT Tag Team Championships once.
