Seth Rollins is more optimistic that the WWE Universe will see him back in the ring soon.
Rollins appeared on Monday’s episode of ESPN’s Get Up with Mike Greenberg. During the appearance, Rollins was asked how he’s recovering from a torn rotator cuff injury. The former WWE Champion doesn’t expect that he’ll be ready to compete at Saturday’s Royal Rumble event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. However, he did tease that fans will see him back in the ring sooner than later.
“Greeny, thank you guys for having me. Shoulder’s doing good, man. It’s doing good. I don’t know if it’s good enough to get me in the ring this Saturday in Riyadh in the Royal Rumble,” Seth Rollins said. “But we’re on track to return sometime sooner rather than later.”
Seth Rollins’ answer should excite WWE fans
Rollins has been out with a shoulder injury since October 2025. He had surgery to repair it the same month and previously said it would take an estimated four-to-six months to heal. Rollins is nearly halfway into his recovery.
Monday’s appearance on ESPN offered a significantly more positive answer by Rollins, who previously said that he was hoping to be back in time for WrestleMania 42. During a recent interview with Men’s Health, Rollins also said that he was “hopefully” on track to return in April.
“Once the brace came off after six weeks, had a couple weeks where it was sketchy. And now I’m at 12 weeks right now this week coming up I’m, like, finally, you know, like I’m good. I can, you know, mobility’s good. Just got to keep it and then work on the strength. And, you know, like I said, hopefully we’re on track for sometime before April 20th or whenever WrestleMania is.”
The same interview also saw Rollins say he lost all credibility when it comes to injuries, so fans will have to wait and see when he finally returns to the ring.
