WWE Raw on Netflix Gets Format Change That Fans Should Enjoy

WWE RAW on Netflix might feel a bit different, and it’s by design.

This week’s episode of WWE RAW on Netflix clocked in at 107 minutes in length. This is about the same as it has been on average. However, this week’s show, which featured a main event match between AJ Styles and Gunther, didn’t feel as packed with ad breaks.

According to a report from WrestleVotes Radio (via Fightful Select), WWE and Netflix have cut back on commercial breaks during the show. This was done to prevent regular interruptions, which keeps viewers engaged, and should help improve pacing.

The change reportedly started on Monday, although it was quietly implemented to the format. Fans have complained about being bombarded with ads during RAW in recent months. However, it seems like their concerns are being addressed.

Despite complaints about too many ads, WWE RAW has been a huge hit for Netflix. Recently, the streaming giant announced that RAW has averaged more than 3 million views per week. In addition, Netflix says WWE RAW brought in 340 million views during its first year. WWE content also totaled more than 525 million views overall.

This week’s episode of RAW also featured Bron Breakker getting into a physical altercation with Adam Pearce, and Finn Balor issuing a challenge to CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship.
