Brinley Reece‘s WWE journey officially comes to an end.
Last week, WWE NXT star Brinley Reece confirmed that she was on her way out of WWE after a three-year run with the company. According to Reece, this decision came after a painful battle with her health, including a serious injury that required surgery and left her sidelined throughout 2025.
On Wednesday, WWE made Reece’s departure official by moving her to the alumni section of its roster page, situated between Brodus Clay and WWE Hall of Famer Brie Bella.
Prior to signing with WWE in the summer of 2022, Reece (real name Breanna Ruggiero) attended California State University, Sacramento as a member of the cheerleading team, where she later served as the captain. In September 2023, Reece made her professional wrestling debut in a tag team match alongside Fallon Henley at a WWE NXT live event. The following month, she debuted on NXT television in a first-round Women’s Breakout Tournament matchup against Arianna Grace.
Reece went on to compete in over 50 more matches, with her last one resulting in a loss to Karmen Petrovic at a March 2023 NXT live event in Bartow, Florida. Along the way, Reece found allies in fellow NXT stars Edris Enofe and Malik Blade, with whom she sometimes managed.
Reece’s next steps outside of WWE are unknown. Her WWE bio reads:
‘Getting #BrinActive was the way for Brinley Reece. Turning her passion for cardio and strength training into a powerhouse career, Reece approached every challenge with unstoppable determination and a positive mindset that inspired fans everywhere. With boundless energy, a contagious love for fitness, and an arsenal of impressive moves, Brinley Reece shined in NXT — one cartwheel, one plank, and one high-octane moment at a time.”
