Jackie Redmond’s request to the WWE Superstars is something straight out of the Attitude Era.
WWE backstage interviewer Jackie Redmond was a recent guest on the INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet podcast. During the conversation, she opened up about how she got into WWE and shared her experiences working with the talent backstage.
When asked if she has any desire to step inside the ring, Jackie Redmond noted that while she might be open to slapping someone or taking a bump, she doesn’t want to have an actual wrestling match. However, she wished the WWE Superstars yelled at her more during the interviews. Redmond’s comments came after she discussed witnessing Triple H and The Rock yelling at each other after the latter interrupted her interview with the WWE CCO at the WrestleMania 40 press conference.
“I mean, I don’t have any desire to be in a match or anything like that.
“I do wish that superstars yelled at me more. I’m not gonna lie, that’s not really a thing that we do anymore, but I want them in my face. I want them to be mean to me. I actually really want that, please be a di*k, be a jerk to me. But it’s a different time, maybe one day. No, I don’t want to be in the ring, but I wouldn’t be opposed to slapping someone or taking a bump,” Jackie Redmond said.
Jackie Redmond really enjoys hate watching Gunther
Speaking on an episode of Raw Recap, Jackie Redmond discussed Gunther making John Cena tap out in his retirement match. Redmond noted that she didn’t like the outcome, despite understanding why Cena had to tap out.
Reacting to a post on X/Twitter which discussed her comments, Jackie Redmond noted that hate-watching Gunther on RAW was some of the most fun she had as a wrestling fan.
“Not liking something is half the fun of being a wrestling fan. Hate watching Gunther last night was some of the most fun I’ve ever had as a wrestling fan. Full stop.”
