WWE Legend Calls Chris Jericho Too Valuable for AEW to Lose

WWE legend and AEW commentator Jim Ross has weighed in on the growing speculation surrounding Chris Jericho’s future.

Jericho has been at the center of rumors in recent months, with reports suggesting his most recent deal with All Elite Wrestling may have expired at the end of 2025. That uncertainty has fueled talk of a possible return to WWE, especially given Jericho’s extended absence from AEW television.

Although Jericho remains listed on AEW’s official roster page, his lack of appearances has only intensified speculation that his run with the company could be nearing its end. Speaking on a recent episode of his Grilling J.R. podcast, Jim Ross addressed the situation and stressed just how important Jericho is to AEW.

“He’s such a valuable member to AEW,” Ross said. “Him leaving would hurt the brand to a degree. No doubt.” Ross explained that losing someone of Jericho’s stature isn’t something a company can simply brush off.

“You can’t lose a talent like Chris Jericho and say that, ‘Oh well, we’ll just move on, it doesn’t matter. We got other guys that are ready to step up,’ and I hope that’s true. But, bottom line of it is that he’s got options, and that’s a smart guy.” [H/T: Fightful]
