Tony Khan provides an interesting update on Andrade El Idolo‘s AEW status as we head into the new year.
All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan was a recent guest on the Battleground Podcast. When it was brought up to Tony that Andrade El Idolo was advertised as a member of AEW while working for New Japan Pro-Wrestling last week, Khan teased the following update regarding Andrade’s status with the company.
“I’d say that bodes well, wouldn’t you? I think it bodes very well,” Tony Khan said with a grin.
Last month, it was reported that Andrade’s deal with WWE came to an end around December 12, and he’s free to sign with AEW or any other company he chooses to.
With his work in New Japan out of the way for the time being, it would make a lot of sense to see Andrade El Idolo make his return to AEW later tonight on Dynamite.
WrestleZone has live coverage of AEW Dynamite every Wednesday evening.
