Chris Jericho Return Teased Ahead of WWE RAW

A potential WWE return for Chris Jericho may be closer than expected. Adam Pearce has now added more fuel to the fire ahead of WWE RAW.

Recent reports suggest that Jericho is expected to sign a new deal with WWE and could make his comeback as early as the January 5, 2026 episode of WWE RAW. That episode is a major one for WWE, as it marks the company’s one-year anniversary of streaming live on Netflix. Several big title matches have already been announced for the show.

Rumors continue to swirl around Chris Jericho’s status this week. Adam Pearce appeared to tease something major during his weekly preview video for RAW, which WWE shared on its official social media platforms.

While breaking down the upcoming show, the General Manager of WWE RAW highlighted that the episode will feature three championship matches. Pearce then made a comment that immediately caught fans’ attention.

“Do not forget, three humongous championship matches,” he said, before adding, “Who can break down the walls and claim the gold?” The wording quickly sparked speculation, as it closely mirrors Jericho’s iconic WWE entrance themes, “Break the Walls Down.”

Will Chris Jericho actually show up on WWE RAW?

Many fans believe the line was a deliberate hint toward Jericho’s possible return to WWE. He has not appeared on All Elite Wrestling programming since April 2025, when he walked out on Big Bill and Bryan Keith.

Jericho is still listed on AEW’s roster page. However, his long absence has only added to the belief that his time with the company may be over. Jericho’s contract was reportedly set to expire at the end of 2025. It will be interesting to see what unfolds on the first WWE RAW of 2026. Will he make his return? Only time will tell.
