It certainly seems like 2026 will introduce the WWE Universe to plenty of free agents from the NXT brand.
In recent weeks on WWE programming, multiple NXT Superstars have appeared on RAW and SmackDown, being advertised as “free agents” who will soon be signed to the main roster.
Thus far, we’ve seen Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, and a video package potentially teasing NXT Champion Oba Femi. But tonight, we got our first member of the NXT Women’s division as the latest free agent.
Tonight on WWE SmackDown, NXT Superstar and former TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace appeared on SmackDown. It appeared Aldis was looking to sign Grace to the brand before being interrupted by Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre.

It was reported earlier today that Jordynne Grace was backstage at SmackDown. Noting that she filmed a pre-tape with Charlotte Flair and WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill. That pre-tape has yet to air on tonight’s episode.
