A new year is almost upon us. A new Finn Balor potentially is as well.
With 2025 coming to a close, WWE Raw star Finn Balor addressed the year that was for his stable, the Judgment Day. Admittedly, Balor acknowledged 2025 as a “difficult” year for him and his cohorts, with Raquel Rodriguez’s unsuccessful pursuit of the WWE Women’s World Championship as an example. Balor additionally pointed out that JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio are each out on the shelf for an unknown period of time.
Despite it all, though, Balor seems to be approaching 2026 with a positive attitude. This is a shift that has many fans now wondering if he’s turned babyface.
“It’s the holiday season. It’s a time for hope, and it got me thinking,” Balor said in a promo that aired during commercial break on Monday’s episode of WWE Raw on Netflix. “Got me thinking about my time here in Orlando. Got me thinking about my time here in NXT. It got me thinking about how I reached down, how I picked up that brand, how I put it on my back, and how I single-handedly carried it into the future. Now we all know there’s no leaders in the Judgment Day. But I’m going to do what I’ve done time and time before.
“I’m going to reach down, I’m going to help up JD, I’m going to pick up Dominik. I’m gonna put the entire group on my back, and I’m gonna single-handedly carry us all into the future. Because in 2026, Finn Balor is bringing championship gold home to the Judgment Day.”
In 2025, Balor and McDonagh held the WWE World Tag Team Championships for 112 days before losing them to AJ Styles and Dragon Lee. Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Roxanne Perez also won the Women’s Tag Team Championship. The only Judgment Day member who walked out of 2026 as champion, however, is Dominik Mysterio. Dominik still reigns as the WWE Intercontinental and AAA Mega Champion.
