Becky Lynch’s WWE RAW Return Didn’t Go According To Plan

Becky Lynch was hoping for a triumphant return to WWE RAW tonight, but things didn’t go according to plan for the former champion.

Tonight on WWE RAW, Women’s Intercontinental Champion Maxxine Dupri was scheduled to speak to the fans in the ring. However, Becky Lynch made her surprise return instead. Lynch refused to acknowledge that Dupri is the champion and ran down both her and Grand Rapids, Michigan, in the process.

This would eventually bring out Maxxine Dupri, who questioned Lynch’s actions. Going as far as to say she believes Lynch’s best days might be behind her. This led to Lynch going off and clocking Dupri in the face. Lynch put a beatdown on Dupri and took the Women’s Intercontinental Title.

Lynch could have left the ring with the title, but she wasn’t satisfied and continued to attack the champion. Dupri took advantage of Lynch’s hubris and caught her in an ankle lock. She would eventually grapevine the hold in the middle of the ring and force Lynch to once again tap out in front of the WWE Universe.

Despite things not going Becky Lynch’s way in the ring, it wasn’t a complete failure of an evening for The Man. Lynch was given her rematch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the January 5 episode of RAW.
