Booker T says going out against this WWE Superstar will be the ultimate test for John Cena.
All eyes are on Saturday Night’s Main Event, which will see John Cena walk to the ring for one final time in his signature jorts and sneakers. The Cenation Leader is hoping fans who doubt his retirement will find closure after December 13.
Standing across from the GOAT will be the man who already retired WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg. Gunther says Cena “will give up for good” as he prepares to deliver the final chop on yet another legendary career.
Speaking of Hall of Famers, Booker T has put over Gunther as the “ultimate test” for John Cena. During a recent episode of his Hall of Fame podcast, the NXT commentator praised the Ring General for bringing believability to the squared circle.
“I think it’s the ultimate test for John Cena, to go out there and take on the guy that’s really staking his claim to what’s going on in today’s wrestling, and that’s Gunther,” Booker T said.

“Nobody goes out and does it like that guy. He makes it so real, so intense, so right there in your face. There’s no air in between what Gunther does, as far as the camera and watching, it’s as real as it possibly can be. It’s almost like Brock Lesnar in a sense.
“It’s gonna be the ultimate test for John Cena to go out there and show this young guy how good the old guy still is.
“John Cena still has a little left in the tank. He may not be as great as he once was, but he still can be great once. I’m looking forward to seeing exactly how this thing plays out.” [H/T WrestleTalk]
