MVP Confirms He’s Signed A Long-Term Contract Extension With AEW

MVP is with AEW for the long haul.

The AEW star spoke with Adventure Gamers and shared that he recently signed a contract extension. MVP thanked Tony Khan for the deal and said he hopes he can play a bigger role in the company, in addition to his on-air managerial role.

“I want to say thank you to Tony Khan, because recently I signed a contract extension and I’ll be with AEW for quite a while in my current capacity and hopefully beyond in a managerial capacity and to whatever extent, possibly behind the scenes.

“I’m very happy where I’m at right now in my career at this stage to be able to continue to contribute to the business and make money with my friends and entertain at the level that we’re still able to maintain. I appreciate Tony Khan for giving me, Bobby and Shelton an opportunity to get the team back together for a final run and the future looks bright.”

MVP primarily appears on AEW programming as the manager of The Hurt Syndicate. However, he does still compete on occasion. His last match was a World Trios Title match against The Opps’ Katsuyori Shibata, Powerhouse Hobbs and Samoa Joe on October 22. He also competed in three other matches in October as part of The Hurt Syndicate’s feud with The Demand. This includes an AEW World Trios Title #1 Contendership Tornado Tag Match at WrestleDream and a Street Fight on AEW Dynamite.
