Chris Jericho Seemingly Teases AEW Future In An Unexpected Way

Is Chris Jericho preparing to leave AEW for WWE when his contract with the company expires later this year?

In recent months, a lot of conversation has taken place surrounding the future of Chris Jericho in AEW as it relates to a possible WWE return in 2026. Last month, Jericho spoke with Daily Mail at Halloween Horror Nights and said the following regarding his future.

“The best thing that could happen in wrestling is AEW, and the fact that there’s two huge promotions that you can choose from just makes it better for the guys,” Chris Jericho said. “It makes it better for the fans and everybody in between. So I’m not going anywhere for a while.

“I’m still with AEW for right now. Would I go back to WWE? I wouldn’t be opposed to it; we’ll just have to see what happens. But the best thing that could happen is to have two great teams that you can play for, and that just makes everything bigger and more exciting.”

While Jericho’s comments were non-commital either way, a new announcement from the former AEW Champion today regarding his cruise in 2026 seems to be very telling.

Chris Jericho’s Rock N’ Wrestling Rager Cruise is set for November 2026

This afternoon, Chris Jericho officially announced his seventh wrestling cruise for November 2026. And one thing immediately stood out: no current AEW stars are advertised for this cruise.

Chris Jericho Cruise 2026

AEW has been a staple of Chris Jericho’s cruise since the company’s inception. To see not a single talent advertised for next year’s cruise certainly says way more about his future with the company than anything else thus far.

Update: Jericho commented on the initial cruise announcement, mentioning that this is just the “first wave” of talent announcements. However, fans in the comments of his post remain skeptical about his future in AEW.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
