With Xavier Woods locking down a new WWE contract recently, what does that mean for his New Day tag team partner, Kofi Kingston?
Yesterday, it was revealed that Xavier Woods had signed a new multi-year deal with WWE. This was a negotiation that came down to the wire but got done before Woods’ last contract officially expired. At the time, Kofi Kingston’s contract status was unknown, but we now have a substantial update on the former WWE Champion.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), Kofi Kingston quietly signed a new contract with WWE earlier this year. It’s reportedly believed to be a five-year deal that will keep him with the company until 2030. Kingston will be close to 49 years old when his current WWE contract expires.
Xavier Woods hilariously confirms his WWE contract status
The update to Kingston’s contract status came hot off the heels of the news that Xavier Woods had signed his new deal last month.
The New Day member took to social media last night to confirm the report in hilarious fashion, tweeting out:
“How do yall know this stuff? I didnt say anything! But yes. You’re gonna see my sexy face for a while longer even though you dont deserve it.
22 years in the game and about to make the next bit even better than the rest.

#BodyGuy #FaceGuy
#ThankGodForTheNewDay,” Xavier Woods said in a post.
While it’s unknown what the length of Woods’ new WWE contract is, one would think it’s similar in length to Kofi Kingston’s new deal.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
