AEW Star Vows to Return Stronger and More Dangerous Than Ever

MJF announced that he is taking a break from AEW until he returns stronger and more dangerous than ever on Dynamite.

This past weekend at AEW All Out, MJF faced Mark Briscoe in a brutal Tables and Tacks match. The match didn’t go in favor of the former AEW World Champion, as he suffered a loss to Briscoe. Upset by the defeat, AEW Dynamite aired a video of MJF sitting on a staircase, visibly frustrated.

MJF reflected on being at the top of the promotion, his friendship with Adam Cole, and losing his world title at Worlds End in 2023. He admitted that since losing the title, he had made mistakes, doubted himself and felt like a fraud at times. He also acknowledged that wrestlers like Will Ospreay, Swerve Strickland and Adam Page had surpassed him, while there was a time they had been in his shadow.

MJF stated that when he returns, he won’t be the same person he was before. He said, “I will not come back until I am the most dangerous I have ever been. I will lap around everyone in this company, everyone in this profession. Doubt. There were times, I’m sure you knew, I bit off more than I could chew, but threw it all when there was doubt. I ate it up, and I spit it out. When I come back, I am taking my spot at the top of professional wrestling. And I am going to do it the only way I know how, whether you like it or not.” He ended the promo saying, “My way.”
