Asuka has been part of WWE for ten years and achieved many milestones in her career.
The Empress of Tomorrow signed with WWE in August 2015. She joined the developmental brand NXT, where she received the name Asuka. She officially made her debut on WWE NXT which took place on September 23, 2015 where she confronted former WWE stars Dana Brooke and Emma.
Over the next decade, Asuka won almost everything in WWE. She captured the Women’s title on RAW, SmackDown and NXT. She also became the inaugural winner of the Women’s Royal Rumble in 2018. A few years later, she also won the Women’s Money in the Bank.
Asuka has already cemented her legacy in WWE as one of the greatest women’s superstars on the roster. Looking back on her WWE career, she shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, writing, “I believe that ideals and convictions, what one sets out to achieve, hold more value than what one has actually accomplished. I have obtained every record, everything there is to obtain, but these are all merely waypoints. What has universal value and beauty is pioneering a new era, possessing the power to change the times.”
“That’s why I pursue how I can bring change and ideals to the ring, creating ‘before and after Kana’ and ‘before and after Asuka.’ Creating a path is far more difficult than walking down a path that others have made. And therein lies the most beautiful aesthetic of all. For me, living as a pioneer and living with conviction, philosophy, and aesthetics is a very important way of life ?”
After a decade in WWE, the Empress of Tomorrow made headlines by turning heel, attacking Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley on RAW.
