Asuka turned heel on WWE RAW after a hard-hitting match against Rhea Ripley.
For weeks, The Empress of Tomorrow tried to break up the growing friendship between Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley. She has been demanding that Sky should stay away from Ripely. Kairi Sane also got dragged into the drama, which saw Asuka screaming her name in a funny manner with her signature “Kaiiirriiii.”
Sane stayed loyal to Asuka but often tried to calm things down between Iyo Sky and Asuka. After weeks of tension, The Empress of Tomorrow finally snapped. In the WWE RAW’s main event, Asuka faced Rhea Ripley in a singles match.
At the end of the match, she told Kairi Sane to attack Rhea Ripley. Sane hesitated but eventually stepped onto the apron and tried to strike Ripley. Ripley blocked the attack, and when Asuka charged, Ripley dodged, causing her to knock Sane off the apron.
The distraction allowed Rhea Ripley to capitalize, and she quickly rolled up for the win. Furious after the loss, Asuka sprayed green mist in Ripley’s face. She then ordered a reluctant Kairi Sane to attack Ripley. This led to Iyo Sky ran to the ring and begged Asuka to stop attacking Ripley. Asuka pretended to agree and hugged her.
For a moment, it looked like they made peace, but she suddenly hit a spinning backfist on Sky while Kairi Sane watched, clearly torn. She then demanded that Sane join in the attack, as the show went off the air with Asuka standing tall. Sane looked dejected, but stayed by Asuka’s side.
Following the show, The Empress of Tomorrow took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to post a video of herself laughing, along with a picture of Rhea Ripley drenched in green mist. In another video she shared, she is seen mocking Sky.
