CM Punk Comments On When He’ll Retire

CM Punk is getting closer to the end of his in-ring career, but does he know when he will actually call it quits for good?

Punk recently took part in GQ’s “Replies To Fans Online” feature, where he answered some of their questions on social media. One fan asked CM Punk when he plans to retire. The WWE star initially replied by saying, “I’ll fuckin’ retire whenever I want to, OK?”

He then had some fun finishing his answer and said no one should wish it’s soon, because they’ll miss him when he’s not around anymore.

“There’s work to be done. And you’re going to miss me when I’m gone, so shut the fuck up.”

One of Punk’s Wrestlepalooza opponents, Seth Rollins, also addressed the future of his in-ring status. The WWE World Champion shared how much longer he might wrestle, and how much time is left on his current contract.

Cody Rhodes named CM Punk as one of the people he could see taking over for Triple H as head of creative in the future.

“I think there’s starting to become a fight for it. And I didn’t see that at first,” Rhodes said on Unsportsmanlike on ESPN. “I thought, ‘Well, obviously I’m the best candidate.’ [laughs] I don’t know if I’m actually the best candidate. I felt like I have some experience and I would be interested in something like that. But also it’s very clear that CM Punk is really great at helping WWE develop young talent. He probably has a knack for it more than anybody.”

Check out who else Rhodes picked for the potential role here.
