Major WWE Star Says AJ Lee’s Return Would Result In The ‘Crash Out Of The Century’

AJ Lee is reportedly on her way back to WWE, and Naomi doesn’t seem happy about it.

Both AJ Lee and Naomi started their WWE journeys in 2010 on season three of NXT. Lee moved up to the main roster in 2011, and Naomi followed a year later in 2012. Since then, they’ve built their own legacies and clashed several times in the ring.

Now reports claim AJ Lee will in action at WWE’s next premium live event, Wrestlepalooza. Lee is expected to make her comeback to set up a big tag match at Wrestlepalooza. She will team with her husband, CM Punk, to face another power couple, Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.

Fans may even see her as soon as this week on SmackDown. Following the reports, WWE Shop accidentally spoiled the surprise on X, confirming new AJ Lee merch was coming ahead of Wrestlepalooza. The post was quickly deleted.

Recently, Naomi stepped away from WWE after announcing her pregnancy and giving up the Women’s World title. After seeing the AJ Lee rumors, she reacted on X, formerly known as Twitter, writing, “If she returns while I’m out yall will witness the crash out of the century on this app⚠️”

Naomi wants AJ Lee to return to WWE, she harasses CM Punk about it all the time

In February, during an interview with The Wrestling Classic, Naomi admitted that she has been playfully pressuring CM Punk about AJ Lee returning to WWE. “Of course [I want to see AJ Lee come back to wrestling in WWE]. I be harassing her husband [CM Punk] about that all the time. And I told him. I said, ‘You need to tell her I can’t retire until she comes back.’ Girl, you need to come on because my whole back is hurting… I can’t retire until she comes back. I am so for real and she knows it.”

She also also highlighted AJ Lee’s lasting influence on women’s wrestling. Despite being away for more than a decade. “I mean, it’s crazy for her to be gone for over a decade and still be missed and to still be wanted so bad. I think it speaks volumes and just tells you what she did for women’s wrestling and who she was. I think we will all be… It will be a treat, a present, a reward, for all of us having her come back. Even if it’s just a, ‘Girl, hey bye.’ And a quick little… We just… Umm… We… We starving sis.”
