Bully Ray Takes Issue With John Cena Table Spot At WWE Backlash

John Cena put R-Truth through a table following his win at WWE Backlash, in a moment that Bully Ray didn’t find all that worthwhile.

Cena‘s actions came during the post-show press conference for Backlash. After R-Truth made one too many comments about him, Cena hit Truth with an AA right in front of the press. During the latest Busted Open Radio session, Bully Ray said that he wasn’t a big of the segment. The biggest problem, Ray said, was that the moment didn’t seem “impactful” at all.

“It sounded like somebody knocked over an ashtray,” said Ray (via Wrestling Inc.). “I didn’t feel bad for Ron Killings afterward. What John did, I’ve seen it a hundred times. I want to feel something. I want to be so emotionally invested in that moment that I want to punch John Cena in the face for what he did.”

Ray went on to say that the moment felt “anticlimactic,” and that he would’ve preferred it to happen somewhere else. While not fully confirmed, rumors are circulating that the moment will lead to an eventual title match between John Cena and Truth at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Ray’s comments come after he also took exception to Cena’s overall heel turn with WWE. The WWE legend believes Cena’s heel turn has mostly been underwhelming due to The Rock not being involved.
