John Cena isn’t shying away from the love he has for Vince McMahon.
Before WrestleMania 41, Cena caught plenty of headlines where he didn’t shy away from his love for his former WWE boss, Vince McMahon. These comments were met with a very negative response, and now Cena has responded.
Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena recently sat down with US Weekly. When asked about his recent comments towards McMahon, Cena doubled down on his comments and believes he’s entitled to have an emotional connection to someone.
“Everybody’s entitled to their opinion,” John Cena said. “Just like I’m entitled to have an emotional connection to somebody. I don’t hold anybody or how they feel or what they view as permissible or things that’ll make them angry, happy, excited, sad. That’s their right as a human being.”
When asked about the fan response to his comments, Cena said he wasn’t surprised by any of it.
“I’m not surprised about any of that,” Cena said.
Vince McMahon is still involved in a serious lawsuit over accusations of sexual misconduct and sex trafficking.
