One of the main reasons for the main event of WrestleMania 41 Night 2 to take place was due to the actions of the Final Boss, The Rock. But when it came to the grand stage, the Great One was nowhere to be seen. So, where was the People’s Champion?
The main event of WrestleMania 41 Night 2 was the match between John Cena and Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Championship. Cena managed to defeat the American Nightmare and create history by capturing his 17th WWE Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship. He did it thanks to the help of hip-hop star Travis Scott.
On Saturday evening, The Rock took to Instagram to post a video of himself driving his car in Hawaii.
“Love coming back and kicking it on Maui with ohana. I can drive my truck all day all over the island. Life is so crazy, so just breathing in the mana will always be one of my anchors. ❤️?? ? ?,” The Rock posted.
Although The Final Boss was in Hawaii, there was some speculation that he still could have made it to WrestleMania 41 Night 2 via a flight. But it is still unclear why he was not able to do that. The Rock was doing reshoots for the live-action Moana film, so that’s likely why he was unable to appear in Las Vegas.
John Cena defeated Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship, his record-breaking 17th world title win. Catch up on results from both night 1 and night 2.
