A new match has been announced for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, as Sami Zayn will face Drew McIntyre.
McIntyre returned on the December 2 episode of WWE RAW and attacked Zayn at the end of the show. The following week, McIntyre explained his actions and made it clear that he targeted Zayn and Jey Uso because they sold out when they reunited with Roman Reigns.
Sami Zayn then came to the ring and made peace with Seth Rollins after their argument the week before. Rollins mentioned Zayn’s issue with McIntyre, and Zayn said that he would not wait to settle the matter. He announced that he spoke with Adam Pearce, and he would face McIntyre at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. McIntyre then attacked Zayn, and officials separated them.
Zayn later took the fight to McIntyre backstage, and the two foes had to be separated again.
