Darby Allin won the Royal Rampage for the second year in a row. This time, he earned a world title shot at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam.
On the July 26th episode of AEW Rampage, Darby Allin won the Royal Rampage battle royal. The match featured Claudio Castragnoli, Brian Cage, Orange Cassidy, Brody King, Jeff Jarrett, Kyle O’Reilly, and other competitors.
A key moment in the match came when “Hangman” Adam Page ran in and viciously attacked Jarrett, setting him up for Cage to eliminate him.
Allin ultimately persevered as he last eliminated Castagnoli to win the match and punch his ticket to Grand Slam.
Darby Allin will likely challenge the winner of the title match between Swerve Strickland and Bryan Danielson at AEW All In.
With his win, Allin repeated as the Royal Rampage winner. He won the match in 2023 and went on to challenge for the TNT Championship at AEW All Out.
Meanwhile, Darby Allin has also expressed his interest in challenging for the TNT Championship. He called out Jack Perry on the July 20th episode of AEW Dynamite, and the bout was set up during the Blood & Guts match on July 24th, but AEW has yet to confirm the contest. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
