“Hangman” Adam Page has agreed to join forces with The Elite.
Page made his return on the July 3 episode of AEW Dynamite, as he was revealed as The Elite’s hand-picked Wild Card in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. Page defeated Jeff Jarrett, and when The Elite asked Page to return the favor by teaming up with them for Blood & Guts, he refused. He told them that he was not their puppet.
However, Page lost to Bryan Danielson in the tournament finals on the July 10 episode of AEW Dynamite. Infuriated, Page eventually spoke with The Elite backstage and said that he would “do it.”
Page’s decision to join the match came shortly after his bitter rival, AEW Swerve Strickland, announced that he would be joining Team AEW for the Blood & Guts match.
Team AEW is currently set to include Strickland and Mark Briscoe. The Elite is now complete with Page joining the Young Bucks, Jack Perry, and Kazuchika Okada.
