MJF will open this week’s AEW Collision, following his devastating attack on Daniel Garcia.
The former AEW Champion turned on Garcia following the young star’s loss to Will Ospreay on Dynamite. Garcia battled Ospreay in the main event of Dynamite this week, with the AEW International Championship on the line.
MJF was in Daniel Garcia’s corner for the fight, encouraging him throughout. This followed on from last week, where MJF seemed to form a friendship with the former ROH Pure Champion. He even challenged him to a match at AEW All In, before being interrupted by Ospreay.
However, their friendship was short-lived. After Will Ospreay beat Daniel Garcia, MJF appeared to encourage him to his feet. However, he quickly revealed this was a ruse, nailing him with a kick to the balls. This was followed by a beat down with the Dynamite Diamond Ring. He even bloodied Daddy Magic, who attempted to come to Garcia’s aid.
AEW will continue the story on AEW Collision. MJF Tweeted out a graphic to promote the show in Southhaven, MS and revealed he will open it.
It is likely that the former AEW Champion will explain his actions, leading to a match with Daniel Garcia. It will also probably start the build up to a match with Will Ospreay at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium.
The other matches already announced for Collision include “Hangman” Adam Page vs. Jay White in the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Semi-Final, as well as Toni Storm vs. Trish Adora.
