Tony Khan wants Paul Walter Hauser to make more appearances in AEW.
The actor previously appeared on AEW last year. He had his Golden Globe award stolen by Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh and Sonjay Dutt. This seeemd to be leading to a wrestling match involving Hauser, but the bout never materialized.
Since then, Paul Walter Hauser has been keeping himself busy with wrestling. The Cobra Kai star stepped into the ring for the first time last year. The actor debuted for Pro Wrestling Revolver, and has gone on to wrestle five matches in his career so far.
This included participating in the MLW Battle Riot VI show. That match was won by Matt Riddle, but Tony Khan was clearly impressed enough to want to see Paul Walter Hauser back in AEW. He spoke with Scott Fishman for TVInsider, who asked him about if he wants to actor back in the company. He said:
“Yes. I want Paul to come back. He is a really good friend of mine. I met Paul in LA many years ago. He is a great person. Paul and his agent Ryan are two of my really close friends. I like Paul a lot. He is always welcome in AEW to do anything. I have so much respect for Paul Walter.”
Paul Walter Hauser Also Wants To Work For AEW
Luckily for Tony Khan, Paul Walter Hauser also wants to wrestle in AEW. He recently spoke to TV Insider, where he named WWE, AEW and TNA as his goals in professional wrestling.
“I’m very competitive as an actor. I compete for roles with other names and compete creatively with myself to make something special. In the wrestling world, right now my main goals are to keep growing and learning my craft to become better. My goals are also to not injure myself or my opponents long-term. After that, I would love to hold a title in MLW first and foremost. I would love to traverse into the world of TNA or AEW and do some work there.”
“There have been discussions in both companies, but nothing has materialized. I would love to have a SummerSlam or WrestleMania moment and do a match there. My dream title as a kid has been the Intercontinental title. Pie in the sky, I want to be an International champion in the next 10 years. A more grounded dream right now would be to compete at a higher level and maybe capture an MLW title. That’s my goal for now.”
