Wardlow Reacts To New MJF ‘Lone Wolf’ Shirt: ‘You’re Still Just A Pussy That I Squashed’

Wardlow has taken some offence to MJF‘s latest T-shirt.

The former AEW Champion made his return to Dynamite this week. He unveiled his new “lone wolf” t-shirt, featuring a wolf’s head on his trademark Burberry pattern. The shirt was promoted heavily by MJF on TV, referencing his new “Wolf Of Wrestling” nickname.

AEW announced the shirt was now on sale on Twitter, which drew the ire of one of MJF’s former tag team partners. Wardlow replied to the post, angrily reminding fans about when he beat MJF at Double or Nothing two years ago.

The War Dog claimed on Twitter that MJF wasn’t to be a “monster athlete” like he is, and is trying to steal his identity. He reminded fans how he “squashed” MJF two years ago, claiming he was disrespecting Wardlow and was “still just a pussy”.

Wardlow has a number of Wolf shirts on sale on ProWrestlingTees, so it makes sense why he’d be upset at MJF.

“He wants to be a 6’3 270lb monster athlete so bad. Now stealing my whole identity? Call yourself the “lone wolf” all you want. you’re still just a pussy that I squashed like nothing. Almost feel bad for the little boy, but the disrespect has gone too far for too long.”

MJF also commented on the shirt on Twitter. He corrected AEW calling him the “Lone Wolf”, attributing that name to Baron Corbin (who actually said the shirt was “money”).

“It’s the Wolf of wrestling. Lone wolf is taken. @BaronCorbinWWE

Wardlow: Wrestling Today Has An ‘Attitude Era’ Vibe

When he’s not angrily complaining about MJF on Twitter, Wardlow is actually enjoying the wrestling world right now.

Wardlow recently spoke to XeniaDidThat about his view on wrestling today. He compared it to how it made him feel during the Attitude Era, calling it “fresh and exciting”.

“I grew up during the Attitude Era. Which, up until now, was considered the best time in wrestling. We’re getting back to that type of vibe where it’s exciting and fresh. I feel like there’s a younger generation getting back into it, like wrestling is becoming cool again. I think a big thanks goes to AEW for coming along; competition is good for everyone.”

“Once again, we’re back to that kind of Monday Night War feel, where there’s something for everyone, and there’s some competition. It’s just exciting again.”
