Tony Khan Says Adam Copeland’s Injury Resulted In Lengthy Rewrites For 5/29 AEW Dynamite

It sounds like Adam Copeland‘s injury at Double or Nothing had a big impact on Tony Khan and tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan was a recent guest on the Rich Eisen Show. While discussing signing free agents, Khan brought up the signing of Adam Copeland. While discussing Copeland, Khan revealed that the current TNT Champion had a big role in tonight’s episode of Dynamite, which resulted in late nights and rewrites.

“We also had to me, one of the best free agents we could get, The Rated R Superstar Adam Copeland,” Tony Khan said. “He was supposed to be appearing tonight at the Forum, and he had a big role in the show tonight. It’s been one of those long weeks for me. I’ve been doing rewrites and up all night working because Adam was going to be a big part of the show.

“He’s the TNT Champion as it stands right now. And he jumped off the top of the cage at Double or Nothing. Adam’s a huge part of what we do. I wasn’t expecting him to be out with a fractured leg. So that’s probably one of the biggest free agents you can get.”
