The stakes just got higher.
On The Buy In for AEW Double or Nothing, AEW CEO Tony Khan and Dr. Martha Hart came to the stage. Dr. Hart discussed the 25-year anniversary of the Owen Hart Foundation and noted that they wanted to do something special for the Owen Hart Cup this year. Khan then stated that the winners of the Owen Hart Cup tournaments would earn world title shots at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium.
Khan also announced that the finals would be held in Calgary on July 10.
Heath McCoy of the Calgary Herald first reported the 2024 Owen Hart tournament finals would take place in Calgary on July 10 during a dual taping of Dynamite and Collision. Calgary also hosted the tournament finals in 2023.
It was not announced when the 2024 tournaments would begin.
Ricky Starks and Willow Nightingale won the Owen Hart Cup tournaments in 2023.
