Will Ospreay has captured his first title in AEW.
At AEW Double or Nothing, Ospreay challenged Roderick Strong for the AEW International Championship. Ospreay joined AEW in March and has gone undefeated since then. He won a Casino Gauntlet Match to earn a shot at the title.
The loss marked the end of Strong’s reign with the title, which began when he defeated Orange Cassidy at AEW Dynasty. He held the title for 84 days and defended it once, while he also competed in three eliminator matches.
