All Elite Wrestling delivered a star-studded show with the March 20 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Among other matches, Christian Cage defended the TNT Championship against Adam Copeland in an “I Quit” match. Plus, Kazuchika Okada challenged Eddie Kingston for the AEW Continental Crown Championship.
Mercedes Moné, Will Ospreay, and other stars also appeared on the show.

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage are shown arriving, as is Kazuchika Okada.
In-Ring Segment: Mercedes Moné
Moné comes out and plays to the crowd before she speaks with Tony Schiavone. She tells the crowd to say hello to their new CEO. Mercedes says she is still on a high after her debut last week, as she missed all of this. Moné says she is excited to be heel. She notes that her career almost got taken away from her, as she suffered a severe injury in her match against Willow Nightingale. She cues up a video package so fans can get a taste of “Moné”.
Mercedes says she was rocking and rolling before it was taken away from her. She states that she needed to be here, as minor setbacks make for major comebacks, and now she’s the CEO. Mercedes makes it clear that she is not here to lead a women’s evolution, as she has already done that. She says she is here to lead a global revolution. As for last week, she says there’s a price to pay when you mess with Moné. The lights go out, and when they come back on, Skye Blue goes to attack Mercedes. Moné gains the upper hand as Julia Hart watches on. Moné fights them off.
Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander make the save. Nightingale raises a chair and teases turning on Mercedes. They argue, as tensions are clearly rising.
Backstage, the Young Bucks hype up Kazuchika Okada ahead of his match with Eddie Kingston. The Bucks say they will be watching backstage, and they will be Okada’s personal match producers. Okada says he is coming for Kingston’s title.
Kazuchika Okada Challenges For The Gold
AEW Continental Championship: Eddie Kingston (c) vs. Kazuchika Okada
Okada and Kingston square off and feel each other out. Kingston hits Okada with a series of strikes. Okada gains the upper hand, but Kingston fires back with a shoulder tackle. The match heads to the outside, and Okada drops Kingston with a DDT on the floor. The Young Bucks are shown producing the show backstage, sitting next to Tony Khan. Back in the ring, Okada grounds Kingston. He continues to control the action. Kingston rallies with some chops.
The champion traps Okada in an abdominal stretch. Okada escapes, but Kingston throws him to the mat. He slams Okada with a heel trip. Kingston keeps rolling and gets a two-count with an elbow smash. Okada catches Kingston with a dropkick. He gets a two-count with a neckbreaker over his knee. Kingston dodges a dropkick and hits Okada with his signature back-fist for a two-count. They trade blows. Okada goes for the Rainmaker, but Kingston gets his hands up.
Kingston drops Okada with a clothesline. Okada grabs the referee and gouges Kingston’s eyes. Okada ducks the backfist and slams Kingston. He hits the Rainmaker for the win.

Backstage, Swerve Strickland says that Samoa Joe tried to choke him out, but he personally has a history of choking people out. He issues an open challenge for tonight, as they’re going to turn Toronto into Swerve’s house.
Backstage, Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale are asked about their match later tonight. Nightingale highlights her experience with Street Fights. Statlander says this will be the end. Mercedes Moné walks up, and Statlander thanks her for having Willow’s back last week. Mercedes says CEOs stand up for what they believe in. She gives Willow the cold shoulder and says she has done enough. Once she leaves, Stokely Hathaway makes a joke about Willow injuring Mercedes last year.
HOOK Takes On Chris Jericho
“Lionheart” Chris Jericho vs. HOOK
HOOK takes Jericho down with a high-angle suplex right away. Jericho is down, and the referee checks on him. HOOK takes the fight to Jericho and punches him in the corner. Jericho fires back with some strikes of his own. HOOK suplexes Jericho three more times. They trade blows, and HOOK maintains the advantage. He suplexes Jericho again. Jericho chops HOOK but eats another German suplex. HOOK hits yet another German suplex.
Jericho rallies, but HOOK again suplexes him. Jericho keeps fighting, and he hits a Lionsault. They battle on the top rope. HOOK goes for the Redrum. Jericho fights his way out. He goes for the Walls of Jericho, but HOOK rolls him up for the win.
Winner: HOOK
Jericho offers a fist bump, and HOOK gives him one.
Adam Cole discusses Wardlow’s loss to Samoa Joe and says he hates being disappointed. He says Wardlow had one job, and he failed. Cole tells Wardlow to make sure that the Undisputed Kingdom holds onto the gold that they have, and then maybe they will forgive him. He says he wants Wardlow to reach his potential and tells him not to screw it up.
Backstage, Chris Jericho is asked about his loss. He says HOOK lived up to what he was hoping for. Jericho calls HOOK a future world champion, and he’s a bad man. He says that HOOK has gained his respect, and he has a proposition for him.
In-Ring Segment: Will Ospreay
Will Ospreay speaks with Tony Schiavone and says he has changed since the last time he was in Toronto. He apologizes for his past actions towards Canada. He says he’s here for the betterment of AEW and makes a joke about maple syrup. Ospreay brings up Bryan Danielson’s match with Katsuyori Shibata and praises it. He recalls how Danielson said that he could not walk in his shoes.
Ospreay says maybe he’s right but takes a shot at Danielson wishing he could be a big star in Japan. He notes that he could not fit in Danielson’s shoes because his shoes were too small for him. Ospreay highlights his success in Japan. He says he’ll prove that he can walk in Danielson’s shoes, as he calls out Katsuyori Shibata. He looks back on the last time they clashed. Ospreay says he has changed a lot since then, and he challenges Shibata to face him next week. The match is confirmed by the broadcast team.

Deonna Purrazzo & Thunder Rosa vs. Toni Storm & Mariah May (with Luther)
Rosa and Purrazzo charge the ring and take the fight to their opponents. May and Purrazzo are left alone in the ring as Storm and Rosa brawl at ringside. May catches Purrazzo with a dropkick. Storm and May go to double-team Purrazzo, but she clotheslines them. Rosa tags in and takes control. Luther distracts Rosa, and Storm knocks her off the apron with a hip attack.
May drops Rosa with a sidewalk slam. Storm and May continue to isolate Rosa. Purrazzo tags in and clears house with a flurry of offense. Storm slams Rosa after the match briefly breaks down in chaos. Storm hits a hip attack, but Rosa rolls her up for the win.
Winners: Thunder Rosa & Deonna Purrazzo
Purrazzo looks frustrated as she and Rosa celebrate. She then walks away on her own, and they are clearly not on the same page.
Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana) vs. The Butcher
Swerve headbutts Butcher and drives him into the corner with some strikes. He dumps The Butcher into the corner and continues to control the action. Strickland hits a diving uppercut. Butcher slams Swerve into the corner and targets his arm. Butcher drops Swerve with a back-breaker. He levels Swerve with a lariat.
Swerve drills Butcher with a kick and rocks him with the House Call. Strickland hits the Swerve Stomp. He locks in a submission, and Butcher taps out.
Winner: Swerve Strickland
Strickland says he used to respect AEW World Champion Samoa Joe, but he stopped liking him, and now he’s close to hating him. Swerve says he thinks about choking Joe out with a chain, but Joe’s neck is too big for that. He says he will keep taking Joe’s security out until he gives him what he wants. Joe comes out and logic dictates that he should ignore Swerve because he beat him at AEW Revolution. He says that Swerve’s problem is that he still believes he can do the impossible when he faces Joe. Joe says he realized that what he had to do was give Strickland what he wants.
Don Callis interrupts and says that Swerve and Konosuke Takeshita have the same amount of wins. He says that Takeshita needs to show him what it tastes like to lose to the Don Callis Family. He says this is the Don Callis Family House. Swerve says he would burn that family tree down if he wasn’t distracted, but he accepts the challenge. He says he’ll be coming for Joe again once he’s through with Takeshita.
Adam Copeland Battles Christian Cage On AEW Dynamite
“I Quit” Match for TNT Championship: Christian Cage (c) vs. Adam Copeland
Cage hits Copeland with some strikes and evades an early Spear attempt. Copeland hits a baseball slide dropkick, and the match heads to the outside. Copeland follows Cage into the crowd. They put on hockey jerseys and trade strikes in a mock hockey fight. The fight spills into the concourse area, and Copeland borrows a drink from a fan. They briefly fight into the bathroom, and Copeland brings Cage back into the arena.
They continue to fight in the crowd, but Copeland gets Cage back to ringside. Copeland brings out a ladder. He sets the ladder up on the timekeeper’s area and the broadcast table and slams Cage onto it. Back in the ring, Copeland dumps Cage onto the bars of a ladder with a suplex. Copeland slams Cage into the ring post and gets a table. Cage dodges a Spear and sends Copeland into the steel steps. Cage hits a diving crossbody through a table. The champion slingshots Copeland into a ladder. Copeland dodges a frog splash and locks in an STF. Both men are down as they collide on a Spear attempt.
Copeland and Cage head up the brawl, and the brawl continues. Copeland sends Cage flying off the stage. He brings out a hockey goal and slams Cage onto it. Copeland sends Cage into the goal. Mother Wayne comes up behind Copeland and hits him below the belt with a hockey stick. Cage hits Copeland with the hockey stick. Cage hits Copeland with the hockey stick again and chokes him with it. He pulls out a barbed-wire-wrapped chair. Cage goes for a Con-Chair-To, but Copeland evades it.
Cage goes for the Killswitch onto the chair, but Copeland escapes. Copeland hits Cage with a hockey stick. He uses his drawstring to choke Christian, but Nick Wayne and Killswitch attack Copeland. Mother Wayne slaps Copeland. Daniel Garcia and Matt Menard make the save. Copeland dives onto Wayne and Killswitch at ringside. He handcuffs Wayne while Garcia and Menard handcuff Killswitch on the opposite side of the ring, so they’re both incapacitated. Mother Wayne runs away. Cage is left by himself, and Garcia hits him. Copeland drops Cage with a Spear. He cuffs Cage in the corner. Garcia and Menard hold him while Copeland gets the spiked two-by-four. Copeland kicks Cage below the belt repeatedly and gets “Spike”, and he hits Cage below the belt.
Copeland goes to hit him again, but Cage says he quits.
