AEW Rampage Results (3/1/24): Matt Sydal, Claudio Castagnoli, More In Action

All Elite Wrestling delivered an action-packed show with the March 1 episode of AEW Rampage.

Tonight, Matt Sydal will face Magnus. This bout will be a qualifying match for the All-Star Eight-Man Scramble at AEW Revolution. Plus, Claudio Castagnoli will face Rugido, and former AEW Women’s World Champion Riho will clash with Trish Adora.

AEW also announced that Lance Archer and The Righteous will compete in trios action.

The results are as follows:

Match 1: Claudio Castagnoli defeats Rudigo via pinfall

In the opening match, Castagnoli walked out with a big win, after escaping out of an arm bar attempt late and countering it into a huge swing. After sending Rudigo for a ride, Castagnoli then began hitting him with a series of elbows, before ending the match with the neutralizer for the pin and win.

After the match, Claudio and Rudigo shook hands and embraced, except Castagnoli would break it early and then knee Rudigo in the groin, forcing Magnus to come down to the ring and chase him off.

Match 2: Lance Archer & The Righteous defeat Luke Langley, Anaya, & Vaught via pinfall

This one was pretty much an instant win, with Archer hitting his finisher immediately for the win.

Match 3: Riho defeats Trish Adora

Adora actually looked prime to steal a surprise win here for most of the match, but instead Riho was able to gain the upper hand late. After hitting Trish with a 619 of sorts and then a big suplex, Adora hit a kick to Riho, but missed her own senton splash. This allowed Riho to land a big running knee strike on Adora for the win.

Segment: Ruby Soho and Angelo Parker

The pair are once again set to go on a date, but were confronted by Saraya beforehand. Her brother surprised Parker and began attacking him, while Saraya forced Ruby to watch.

Match 4: Magnus defeats Matt Sydal via pinfall

Magnus is headed to AEW Revolution, after defeating Matt Sydal in an All-Star Scramble qualifying match. Although Sydal looked primed to win early on, it was Magnus who would do just enough to win. Late in the match, Magnus countered a hurricanrana attempt, and then hit a big running double knee strike to win it.
