Tony Khan made two big announcements that will excite Rob Van Dam fans.
Khan announced on Twitter that Rob Van Dam will be on the 4/20 episode of Collision. Khan didn’t confirm what RVD will do on that show, but RVD on 4/20 seems like a great match.
In addition, Khan also shared his excitement that RVD will be in six-man tag team action this Wednesday on Dynamite. There, RVD will team with HOOK and Hangman Page against the team of AEW World Champion Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland and Brian Cage.
The true revolutionary
All Elite Wrestling‘s Swerve Strickland was a recent guest on Busted Open Radio. When asked about his recent match with Rob Van Dam on AEW Dynamite, Strickland had high praise for the WWE Hall of Famer.
“Just understanding where the evolution of all this began,” Swerve Strickland said. “The style and the style that I grew up loving and stuff and just being able to mix it with this man this — I don’t feel like that he’s a man. He’s like, that’s a story. RVD is like a story like the story of RVD. Now I’m competing with this man and he’s still like high-caliber performing.
“And to a sense, it was like, man, I gotta keep up with him. He was fantastic, in shape, mind still sharp as a nail. It was an unreal experience for the crowd that we had, and to main event with that man on television is incredible. Hats off to him for staying in shape and still showcasing to these young guys that this is why I am who I am. This is why y’all do what I invented like 30 years ago. That’s the true revolutionary.”
