MJF is the longest-reigning AEW World Heavyweight Champion. He recently overtook The Cleaner Kenny Omega to achieve this milestone. MJF has also been holding onto a unique record for quite some time. His former bodyguard turned foe, Wardlow reacted to the achievement.
The self-proclaimed Devil of AEW, MJF is not only the AEW World Champion, he is also one half of the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champions along with Adam Cole. Unfortunately, Cole is injured, but that has not slowed down Friedman one bit. The current streak of MJF is an undefeated one-on-one match record. For almost nearly two years, The Salt of the Earth has not been pinned in one-on-one competition.
The last time Maxwell Jacob Friedman was pinned was back at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view in 2022 by Mr. Mayhem. That match was the last time MJF and Wardlow faced each other inside the ring.
That match was not a tough battle at all. However, it was a hard road for Mr. Mayhem to get this opportunity to face Maxwell Jacob Friedman. But when the two faced each other in the ring Wardlow ran through MJF by hitting Powerbomb after Powerbomb. Wardlow would call it a ‘Powerbomb Symphony.’
Elite Wrestling recently tweeted out the fact that the current AEW World Champion has not been pinned in one-on-one competition for over 570 days.
Upon seeing the post, the former AEW TNT Champion replied by just saying ‘lol.’
“Lol,” Wardlow tweeted.
Ever since Wardlow returned to the Jacksonville-based promotion he has been on a warpath. After squashing every opponent of his he sends a subtle message that he is going to be the one to dethrone Friedman.
Do you think Mr. Mayhem will keep up his word and take the Championship from MJF?
