Lio Rush is returning to GCW.
Game Changer Wrestling announced on December 12 that former WWE and AEW star Lio Rush will return to work three dates in January. He is currently advertised for January 12 in Chicago, January 13 in Columbus, and January 26 in Tampa during Royal Rumble weekend. All events will stream on FITE.
As of this writing, this will mark Rush’s first in-ring appearance since October 1. He announced on October 14 that he was taking time off from wrestling due to illness.
Rush has worked 20 matches for GCW over the years, with the most recent three taking place last February. In his last appearance, he scored a victory over Komander.
Throughout 2023, Rush has also appeared in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, PROGRESS, MLW, and IMPACT Wrestling. He held the IMPACT X-Division Championship for 56 days.
