Cora Jade is back.
Cora Jade had been absent since July, as she last wrestled on the July 25 episode of WWE NXT. There, she lost to Dana Brooke in a Kendo Stick match. A QR code on the December 5 episode of WWE NXT teased Jade’s return, and she appeared at NXT Deadline on Saturday.
Blair Davenport won the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge to earn a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship, which is currently held by Lyra Valkyria. When Davenport called Valkyria out after the match, the champion came out, and she started walking down the ramp. But Jade attacked her from behind. Cora then raised the title to make it clear that she had her sights set on the gold.
In an interview later in the show, Jade said the women in the locker room weren’t ready to welcome her back, but she had returned to the deepest women’s division in WWE. Jade vowed to take it to a new level.
